Total Eclipse Of The Heart

Out of my excitement of getting caught up in the blog I totally forgot to blog about the SOLAR ECLIPSE! It was AWESOME.
We were going to drive down with some friends to the "optimal viewing zone" but we figured it would be too crowded so we just visited at the Turners home.
Lance and Fernanda made us yummy food and had welding goggle things we could look through and see the eclipse as it happened!
This is what it looked like through our goggles.
It was a lot of fun. I think even little Abe liked it.

4th Of July Firework Show!

We have an annual tradition of having a HUGE firework show each July. Sometimes it is for the 24th and sometimes it is for the 4th. We just choose which will work best for most people to be there. This year it was on the 4th. Well It was on the 7th of July but celebrating the 4th.
Since Tyson and I had gone to Wyoming with his family over Memorial Day we decided we had to stop and buy some fireworks! Tyson's parents and other family members got in on it and we had quite the stash hanging out at our house.
Once we got our stash together with Bryan's stash and the other stashes around the place.... Bryan and Tyson got down to work with building things. Ben joined us a little later to add his genius to the show!
As usual, there were toys and many things to melt.

Bryan designed the snake toy in my honor when I asked if they could fit flowers inside the snake. Yes, they do fit.

We made sure to chalk off the circle so we didn't blow up any cars during the show.
Lots of friends and family came to watch.
Like last year, we covered the light in the circle for optimum viewing pleasure.
I recorded it, but it is so long we can't figure out how to get it on the blog. I will work on getting it on YouTube and then on here.

This is the aftermath.
All in all it was a wonderful show. Best yet, and we plan to keep growing.

Baby Ellie

In June, the Crown side of the family was able to grow! Bryan and Nikki had their sweet new little baby, Ellie. She is just the cutest little thing!
She has a great big brother who is so proud of her. He lets everyone know that she is "my Ellie". He is first to help her out and is always sure she has enough toys to play with.
When Adam is around Ellie and Lucas, Lucas is sure to explain that there are certain toys Adam can play with but Ellie is too little for. It is so cute! He just wants everyone to know that Ellie is little and he is there to take care of her.
My parents are so happy to have a new little grandbaby. I know they love all their grandbabies but Ellie is special. She is so happy and calm. At least when I am there......
Ellie has hair just like her daddy did when he was born. Dark and fluffy as can be. They can't get that hair to lay down for the life of them! What a cute little Crown baby!

24th Birthday

My birthday was really fun this year! Tyson got me a walker! Okay, he got a walker for Adam but it is a help to me because I finally had a toy to keep him busy while I clean the house!
He's so cute and happy!

We took the time to go up to Draper and visit with Tyson's side of the family.

Auntie Em gave Adam his FIRST HAIRCUT! That was a really fun even for me. He was so good, most of the time. He did get bored toward the end though.
Tyson's family found out it was my birthday that day and my nephew Jonah decided to bake me a cake! It was soooooo yummy and he made it my favorite color! PINK!
My family also had a get together for me, but I was having so much fun I didn't take any pictures! When I have birthday fun I should have Tyson take the pictures so I can enjoy!
I love my family so much! And my in-law family!

Tyson's Art Show

On May 31st we were able to participate in the opening of a new hotel in Draper by showing Tyson's art! He was invited to showcase his work and we definitely took them up on the offer.
It was really cool to see Tyson talk about his work and what he does.
We even had the videos he has made showing so people could see his work in action.
Tyson is always looking for more projects. Let us know if you need some art dome!
