Adam Bradley Ellis

Our beautiful baby boy was born to us on Friday December 2nd around 6:30 PM. He came to us at a whopping 9 lbs 2 oz and 21 inches long! He is so cute and we love him so much!
A few hours before labor started, we took a video. It is a really cool birds eye view of Adam moving all around. I can't figure out how to get the video on here, but as soon as I can I will add it!
Labor started for me around 1:30 that morning. We went to the hospital at 3:30 and had an epidural put in pretty quickly. I called my mom and dad and had them come down to support and love on me.

We waited for the contractions to do their thing. Around 4:00 in the afternoon they had me pushing. I know you don't want all the details (and if you do you can call me, I am happy to tell my story) so I will just break it down. I pushed for about an hour and a half to 2 hours. Then I begged the Dr to just give me a C-Section.
Honestly I knew all along I would need a C-Section. I prayed with my parents and husband and we all felt like that is what we needed to do.
The surgery only took about 20 minutes and Tyson got to watch (if you want his details he is also happy to share his story). They gave me my baby for about 20 minutes and then rushed him off to be tested and cleaned.
Adam was in the NICU for a few days. Being a big baby, me having pushed for so long and I also had a fever when I delivered... well that made for a baby with blood sugar issues. They had him on an IV until things evened out and then they let me have him.
We had lots of visitors during and after Adam was in the NICU. We appreciate all the people who came to see us. Especially our parents.
My mom and dad were able to come down every day and see the baby. There are only a few people allowed in the NICU and they were glad to be on the list. I was so glad to have them because I couldn't be with my baby all the time, and having them there really helped me feel loved and taken care of.

Tyson's mom was also able to come each day and see us. She was there to hold little Adam and give him some good long cuddles. She also sat with me while Tyson had to run some errands and that really helped to keep me going while I was stuck in that dang bed.
We now have Adam home with us and we are sooooo happy! There have been some fits of crying (by both mom and baby) but mostly just a lot of love. He is healthy and I am recovering so we are a happy little unit.

That's our story for now! I am sure this blog will fill up with baby pictures and stories soon enough!
