Julyapalooza 2014

Anyone who knows us knows that we LOVE fireworks. We love to watch them, we love to light them and we love to party with them! Each year we have a big party, the boys attach hundreds of fireworks to a single fuse, we light it once and sit back and enjoy the show. This year was no different and it was definitely not a disappointment!

The process of setting up went more quickly this year. I think the guys are getting better at it and they know better what they are doing! Plus we had an extra pair of hands helping this year.

After things were set up we headed over to the park for a BBQ. It was really fun to watch all the kids play together. It isn't a family reunion, all the kids don't know each other, but you bring in food and a holiday and friendships are created instantly! Of course, some of them are related and we like seeing those kids play together too!

While most of us were eating and playing the guys went back to the house to put the fireworks in their final resting place. We like to make sure things are set up and in place before the sun goes down! Plus that way people can walk around and appreciate the handiwork that goes into it!

Once the sun set we were able to watch the show! It did stop once when one of the connectors didn't quite work as it was supposed to but we got it back up and running!

I usually do one post for all the events in the entire month, but I feel like our Julyapalooza event deserves its own post. So stay tuned for another post about the rest of the month!

June Bugs

Tyson teases me because I don't just celebrate my Birthday on the day of, but I make it a month long event! If I want to go out to dinner I say things like "But it is my Birth-Month!" and we go out to eat :) I don't know why I am this way, I guess I just like any excuse to party! So June started off with my Birthday and it was wonderful.
We ran around outside, we watched movies outside, we played and played!
My husband is so wonderful. He knows how much I love to get flowers! He had these delivered for my birthday!
In June we had to say goodbye to my old car. She served us well but she was about ready to explode! Sleep tight in the junkyard my good friend.
We spent a lot of time in our garden. Things are really starting to take off and it is so fun! We had a bit of an Aphid problem so we started by getting some Preying Mantis babies and released those into the garden!

They are so little when they are babies!
Then we felt like we needed more help for our plants so we also got a bunch of lady bugs!
When I say a bunch, I mean a BUNCH!
For Mothers Day my siblings and I bought tickets for my mom to see Theresa Caputo! She LOVES Theresa and I was so glad to get to go with my momma! It was such a fun night! It is always good to go out just the girls every once in a while!
It was time to prepare for the Annual Firework Extravaganza! Tyson, Kyle, Bryan and I took a road trip up to our FAVORITE firework store and LOADED UP! It was Kyle's first time seeing the glory of this store and I think he was pretty excited!
We loaded up the car and headed back home! Totally worth the trip!

I promoted to PREMIER with my Perfectly Posh business! This may not be a big deal to you but it was a HUGE deal to me. I am so proud of my team and I am so happy to be meeting my goals! Next stop, Silver Premier by the end of the year!
Can't have summer go by without attending a few games! Here is my cute family watching our nephew Micah at his soccer game!
The kids still love playing together! They play all day long!

You can tell Abe wants Monet to start crawling! He loves her so much!
We got a new pool! The kids put on their new swimmin suits and we have been swimming a lot!
Abe LOVES his pool! He is always asking "We go outside in the tool!?!"

We also had some pretty hard times in June. There were a lot of deaths around us. Close friends and their loved ones, people that are MUCH too young to pass. From children, to daddies, to grandmothers. It was all very hard for us, but maybe the hardest was our Gammy Maine. A close family friend, so close that our kids thought of her as a Grandmother, Germaine passed away. It was heartbreaking and took it's toll on our little family.

We are so lucky to have reminders of her in our home every day. We were able to get her piano and put it in our home. Germaine loved music and every time I play it I think of her. Each time Abe sings along to a song I am playing I know his Gammy Maine is smiling on him from heaven. We hold her in our hearts and we love her very much. We miss you Gammy Maine!
