November 2012

This year November was really busy for us. Tyson took on a lot of projects with his art and he spent just about every extra hour drawing portraits for others. He has an amazing talent and I am so glad he is able to share this with others! I didn't want to show his works of art until after Christmas because most of the portraits were given to others as Christmas gifts. But, now that it is almost Valentines Day I think it is okay I share what he did.
Here are just a few pictures of the pencil portraits he drew.
We had some snow days in November. Abe and I spent most of our time inside just watching the snow fall. This boy is so cute. He loves to watch the snow from inside where it is warm, but if we go outside he starts freaking out! I am thinking he doesn't like the cold.
We set up our Christmas stuff even before Thanksgiving came. I was just so excited I had to get it up!
I have been working on stockings for Tyson and Abe since I was pregnant. These pictures don't have the names on the stockings but you can see the hard work I put into them!
My mom made me this stocking when I was a baby. I wanted to make stockings that would match mine.
This is Tyson's stocking!
This is my little Adam's stocking. His name will be on the gold tag on the top left, I just quite haven't gotten there yet and now the stockings are put away!
Our fun tree! My parents gave us this hand-me-down tree because it is so big they didn't want to take the work to set it up anymore. I gladly took this baby home and set it up for my family!
Tyson, Abe, and I, met Ben, Erika, and Jordan up in Draper to have dinner with Tyson's parents. It was a delicious dinner! We spent hours playing games together and just chatting, isn't that what the holiday is about?
After dinner, much more of the Ellis clan showed up for some pie and fun!
Tyson telling Abe to be nice and share the ball with his cousin!

Sunday after Thanksgiving we got to have a second celebration at the Crown home! Delicious food! Mmmmmm ham. We also decorated cookies after.
Gotta love fun with the family!

October Fun For Everyone

First of all let me say, I am a little upset. I accidentally deleted one of my posts! Oops! I will have to go back later and try to figure out which events were in that post and which pictures! Okay now moving forward...
October is always a busy month for us. Probably because there are so many things to do! We love to have adventures in the fall weather!
Football. This is a sport that begins in the fall. College football is something that is close to Tyson's heart. Every time the beloved team of BYU is playing we better be watching or at least listening to the play-by-play on the radio. This year we were able to have football with family a few times. There were games where we went to Ben's house, games at Papa's house and one at our house! I know the season isn't over yet, but here are some pictures from our events!
This year we were able to take Adam to Cornbelly's. They have so many things for kids. Unfortunately Adam doesn't walk yet, so we didn't stay long. What we did get to see was wonderful and so much fun! I think next year Adam will LOVE it!
Adam learned how to climb up the stairs in October! He can make his way up, but can't figure out how to get down (safely) quite yet. We are working on it!
We watched a lot of debates. Too bad the guy we were rooting for didn't win :( Adam was gagging when we watched the Ryan-Biden debate. I don't think he likes that man much...... hehe
We have a Crown Family Tradition to carve pumpkins together every year. We lay down trash bags all over the floor and spread out. Tyson has his own methods of sculpting the pumpkins, and the rest of us just carve.
This was Adam's first Halloween so he had never played with the pumpkin guts before! He played until he tasted them. Once he knew the guts didn't taste good he didn't want anything to do with it anymore.
I carved one for baby ABE.
I carved one for me.
Tyson carved a masterpiece.
We usually have a big Halloween party at our house each year. This year I wasn't feeling up to it so we skipped it. We did still dress little Abe up in a BamBam costume which is perfect because he is hitting everything right now. He loves to hear the different noises the table, floor, chairs, etc make when he slaps them with his little hands.
Baby Jordan was Pebbles. They were so cute together! Love the cousins!
Anyway, that's our month of fun summed up into a few paragraphs and a few pictures!
