Nursery Update

As we wait for the baby to come we keep putting in those finishing touches to the nursery! There are a few more parts for Tyson to paint and finish up, but my due date is in 4 days! Thought I would post some pictures.

More of October 2011

Things are crazy around here with getting ready for a baby and all, but they have been really fun! We have had all sorts of parties and fun!

One un-fun part of the month was that I had to go to the hospital. I was having some heart issues and we had to have a bunch of tests run. The baby is fine as am I, and my parents got me a fun prize to help me feel better! Here is a picture of Horton and me at the hospital.
The next day my mom and sister-in-law, Nikki, threw an awesome baby shower for me! We were so busy having fun we didn't take any pictures! Other than this picture of all the food we had! Everything was in a Seuss theme and it was super duper cute! I loved it!
Big thanks to my mom and Nikki for throwing the shower, and another thanks to all those that came! This baby boy has what he needs now!

We had Tyson's little sister, Natalie, and her husband, Levi, move in with us for a few weeks. It was so much fun to have them over! It was even more fun because Natalie was pregnant and she and I could sit and chat about all the uncomfortable things. For anyone who has been pregnant you understand how nice it is to have someone to sit and chat with.

Well two days before they moved out she had her baby! Garrette James was born and he is so cute! Tyson and I were able to see him in the hospital.
Seeing the baby makes me want mine to come! AHHH!

Then it was pumpkin carving time! We had our friends, Jared and Liz, over to have a pumpkin carving party. Course I had to cover the kitchen in garbage bags because Tyson always goes a little crazy.

That next night Tyson wanted to carve another one. So we bought another and he stayed up until about 2 in the morning carving it. I don't have any pictures of his process because I was sleeping but this is his finished product.
Then! The next day we carved again! This time it was a Crown family get together. We all had a good time.
Lucas still doesn't like getting dirty, but he was proud of his (or Nikki's) finished pumpkin.
We threw a Halloween party at our house this year. We had some pretty awesome decorations and great food! The pictures don't do it justice but you can get an idea.
We got dressed up.
And so did our guests!
It was a really fun party!
Well that sums up the end of October. Now we are in November and I can't wait until these updates come up! Hopefully we have a baby update soon!

UPDATE!!!!

I know, I know. I am the worst at updating the blog. I get so busy and so tired that I just don't get around to it. So.... Without waiting any longer, I will give you some updates!

We have been working on the nursery. Yes, Tyson is doing the most work but I have actually put in a few hours myself! My mom taught me how to sew the crib bedding!
I did pretty good eh? I am proud of it.
Tyson has come along with the painting of the nursery. There are more colors on it now, and we have moved the furniture around again, but those updates will come later. After I take the time to take more pictures! For now, here are some progressive photos.

Tyson and I had the chance to get BYU Football tickets this year. We bought tickets for three different games. The first was the BYU vs Utah game! I am sad to say we lost, we lost big time! But Tyson and I had a really good time.
I might have sat in nacho cheese and not realized it, and it was the last game I was able to go to with Tyson, but it was fun all the same. (Games on bleachers + being great with child = one sore mamma)
Every year around Halloween the Crown side of the family gets together to do Haunted Gingerbread Houses! We do it in celebration of Nikki's birthday because she LOVES it! It is really fun for everyone.
You can see we usually do the graham houses.
Lucas was very proud of his work!
Everyone gets in on the party!

But.... we weren't satisfied just doing it once this year! My mom and dad actually took the time to bake real gingerbread, so the next week we had another party and decorated more!
When we were done, the boys were tired.....
My friends, Danny and Anne, were so kind and threw me a great baby shower! It was Seuss themed and so stinkin cute!
We had all sorts of treats!
And, my dad and mother-in-law got in on the fun too! With my family, there's bound to be entertainment every which way!
Okay that is the update so far! Hopefully later this week (or maybe in a few weeks) I can get another update up!
